Our ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a sales-focused mindset. Success in this role will come from an ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with subordinates and co-managers. You don't hesitate to propose new ideas, solve big problems, and distinguish yourself by showing initiative and prioritizing the best interests of the company. You should be able to build and archive a catalog of product and industry knowledge to share with your staff and customers. Despite our license to sell recreational cannabis, we pride ourselves on our ability to serve our medicinal patients as well, and maintain a degree of professionalism that differs from our competition at times. This includes knowing your audience and when to use terms like "medication" over "dank budz".

This role is best suited to a natural mentor; someone comfortable learning and teaching at the same time. You will need to be able to work with our sales manager to help coach the staff to reach their weekly goals.

Duties:

  • Open/close showroom, including set up/take down of product displays, and some light cleaning
  • Setting sales goals and ensuring they are met
  • Supervising 2-3 employees
  • Maintaining expert product knowledge; serving as a source of product details for sales staff & customers
  • Operating point-of-sale system (POS) & handling cash payments
  • Sanitize checkout stations & staff-only areas according to COVID standards

Requirements:

  • Open availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required)
  • Able to be on your feet/standing for most of your shift
  • Able to communicate in a clear, courteous manner with a professional demeanor
  • Able to prioritize your attention and energy where needed, with minimal direction
  • Team player - able to get along with coworkers
  • Must be 21+

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of management & sales experience
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
